Strengthening the homeless response system through collaboration and advocacy

Nonprofit organizations serving LA’s homeless population are often the primary means of assistance for thousands of the region’s most vulnerable residents. Our membership includes homeless service providers and supportive housing developers across LA County – large and small organizations, cities and county areas of service, and all the various populations of people experiencing homelessness.

These organizations have always valued collaboration, whether it’s case-conferencing about shared clients or providing warm handoffs during program referrals. Yet given the magnitude of the region’s homeless crisis, members of the Greater LA Coalition are coming together to create a better system for homeless services, advocate for more affordable housing, and engage public decisionmakers about these issues.

Interested in joining?

The Greater LA Coalition on Homelessness welcomes the participation of nonprofit organizations who provide homeless services or operate supportive housing in LA County. Membership requires support for the Greater LA Coalition’s public policy agenda, a commitment to coalition building, high standards of care for the people we serve, and a ratification vote by other members. Annual dues are based on organizational revenue at a sliding scale:

  • $750 for organizations with revenue under $5 million annually
  • $1,000 for organizations between $5 – $10 million annually
  • $2,000 for organizations between $10 – 20 million annually
  • $3,000 for organizations above $20 million annually
